Job description

Wholesale Warehouse Associate

Founded in 1950, Alaska Mill & Feed has proudly served Alaska's farmers, ranchers, and pet owners for decades, delivering high-quality feed products and supplies to communities across the state. We are a locally focused manufacturing & distribution team that values teamwork, craftsmanship and reliability.

As a Wholesale Warehouse Associate, you'll play an important role in delivering outstanding customer service by accurately picking and safely loading wholesale customer orders. You'll help keep our warehouse organized and our inventory in top shape by unloading, rotating, and storing freight. This position is hands-on and often outdoors, so being comfortable working in all kinds of weather is important. We're looking for a dependable, safety-focused team player who takes pride in doing things right, enjoys working in a busy environment, and can be counted on to show up ready to work each day.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail and order-picking accuracy
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to stay organized and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Accurately assemble and load customer orders for pickup or delivery
  • Load and unload freight efficiently and safely
  • Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment (training and certification provided)
  • Help organize, rotate, and maintain inventory to ensure accuracy
  • Keep the warehouse clean and safe by following proper housekeeping and safety practices
  • Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships.
  • Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience (certification can be completed in-house).
  • Previous warehouse or order fulfillment experience preferred.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires regular bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb stairs and operate a forklift for long periods.
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather and inclement environments.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check as a condition of employment
Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed, especially during times of high seasonal demand.

Compensation & Benefits

$20.00 - $23.00/hour. After meeting eligibility requirements, benefits include:
