Position Summary
Butterfly Home Care is seeking a dependable, organized, and friendly Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our office.
This is an in-person position based in our Sterling office. While many members of our team work remotely or in the field, this role serves as the primary point of contact for visitors, caregivers, and clients while helping keep the office organized and running smoothly.
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to Operations, Nursing, Scheduling, Claims, Human Resources, and other departments as needed.
Essential Responsibilities
Welcome visitors, caregivers, and clients in a professional and friendly manner.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and office correspondence.
Conduct caregiver interviews and manage the onboarding process, including employment paperwork and personnel files.
Manage new client admissions, complete admission paperwork, and maintain accurate client records.
Provide administrative support to the Nursing, Scheduling, Claims, Operations, and other departments as needed.
Prepare reports, letters, forms, spreadsheets, and other documents. Maintain organized electronic and paper files.
Order office supplies and keep the office clean, organized, and presentable.
Assist with meetings, calendars, and special projects.
Perform general administrative duties to support the day-to-day operations of the agency.
Qualifications
Previous administrative or office experience preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and compassionate.
Healthcare or home care experience is a plus.
Work Environment
This is an in-office position located in Sterling, Virginia. The Administrative Assistant should be comfortable working independently in the office, as many members of our management team work remotely or in the field. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, enjoys interacting with people, and takes pride in maintaining a welcoming and professional office.
