Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Connect and VoIP Specialist to design, implement, and maintain unified communication systems integrating Microsoft Teams/Connect, VoIP telephony, and related collaboration platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in deploying enterprise-grade voice solutions, SIP trunking, call routing, and integrating voice infrastructure with Microsoft ecosystem tools.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, and maintain Microsoft Connect/Teams Voice and VoIP infrastructure (PBX, gateways, SBCs, SIP trunks).
  • Implement and manage call flow architecture, including IVR, auto attendants, voicemail, hunt groups, and call queues.
  • Integrate Microsoft Connect with Office 365, Exchange Online, Active Directory, and Azure Communication Services.
  • Manage VoIP servers, including Cisco Call Manager, AudioCodes, or Ribbon SBCs.
  • Troubleshoot call quality issues (QoS, jitter, latency, packet loss) and maintain service uptime.
  • Develop and maintain network configurations to support VoIP traffic - VLANs, firewall rules, NAT, SBC routing.
  • Monitor and analyze voice performance metrics and generate utilization and reliability reports.
  • Collaborate with IT, network, and security teams to ensure compliance with data security, encryption, and privacy standards.
  • Conduct user training and support onboarding for Microsoft Connect/Teams telephony users.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving Microsoft UC, VoIP, and SIP technologies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with VoIP infrastructure and Microsoft UC (Teams/Skype/Connect).
  • Deep understanding of SIP protocols, RTP, DNS SRV, and QoS.

Hands-on experience with:
  • Microsoft Teams Voice / Connect administration
  • SBC configuration (AudioCodes, Ribbon, or equivalent)
  • SIP trunking and PSTN connectivity
  • PowerShell scripting for automation
  • Call analytics and monitoring tools (Call Quality Dashboard, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, VLANs).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, and Exchange Online integration.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
