Job description

Registered Nurse โ€“ Family Clinic, Baldwin. Location: Rochester, NY.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and patient/family education.
  • Coordinate care and transitions across practice settings.
  • Support nurse practice and maintain continuity of care.
  • Act as a preceptor and mentor new staff.
  • Lead quality improvement activities and participate in committees.
  • Delegate patient care based on skill level, acuity, and resources.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program accredited by ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA; if not accredited, at least one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic.
  • For entryโ€‘level associateโ€‘degree RN, completion of a baccalaureate nursing program within five years of RN start date (April12020or later) or as required for preโ€‘2020 hires.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Computer proficiency; prior experience with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Flexible to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and onโ€‘call.
  • Demonstrated leadership and critical thinking skills.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Current RN license in the applicable state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; BLS may not be required for nonโ€‘campus positions as determined by the work area.
  • Additional state licensure or specialty certification/training as required by the area of practice.
Compensation

Hourly rate starts at $34.84. Compensation is based on experience, education, and performance within the Mayo Clinic nursing model.

Schedule

Partโ€‘time, 40hours per week. Mondayโ€“Friday, 8โ€‘hour shifts with coverage into evening hours as needed. Float to other primary care sites, including virtual support. Saturday work 7a.m.โ€“12p.m., 8โ€“10 days per year.
