Cyrus Life Insurance, an Arkansas-based insurance company, is seeking a Market Sales Director in the Little Rock/Central Arkansas area.  This position will be responsible for working with an established group of funeral homes, Smith Family Funeral Homes, with a base-group of preneed agents by offering a proven marketing system.  The position will be responsible for recruiting and collaborating with a high energy sales-driven team.  The successful candidate must have a successful sales track record and an extensive knowledge of the funeral service industry.  This is a full-time position, with a base salary, to include bonus’ based on sales production and the eligibility for full time benefits.  Please send resumes to careers@cyruslife.com.

JOB SUMMARY

The Market Sales Director is responsible for maintaining and developing an established well-trained sales team that meets or exceeds all sales goals, increases market share and customer base within the established budgetary levels while maintaining the highest ethical standards and observing Company policies and procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 
 Work directly with the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing to collaborate with sales team to ensure the attainment of sales goals.
 Ensure that Pre-Arrangement Counselors utilize methods as set forth in training manuals while observing Company policies and procedures.
 Communicates frequently with all areas to ensure support of location needs.
 Manage Pre-Arrangement Counselors, acting as their primary reference regarding prospecting, product knowledge, sales presentations, closing skills, pricing, terms, paperwork, sales guidelines questions, compliance issues and delivery of customer service.
 Work with the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing to develop marketing programs that complement the geography, demographics, ethnicity, or religions of the community.
 Plan and participate in community events designed to develop prospects and heighten awareness of the locations.
•    Review all pre-need contracts to ensure compliance with state/provincial and or federal laws.
•    Prepare reports that demonstrate compliance with financial controls.
•    Ensures the best possible results from presentations to current and potential customers.
•    Ability to travel to corporate office, potential clients’ homes or appropriate funeral home located anywhere in the geographic region served by the company.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, or Marketing, or comparable experience in sales and sales leadership. 
•    Appropriate state life insurance license or ability to obtain one.
•    Extensive knowledge of the funeral service business, preferably 3 or more years.
•    Proven supervisory or management experience to include presenting, training, coaching and motivating a sales team.
•    Proven leadership abilities, excellent customer service, sales and communication skills.
•    Knowledgeable of state laws governing applicable state’s insurance department and funeral homes.
•    Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with others in a team atmosphere to build strong relationships.
•    Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), or any other related software, a plus.
•    Remain current on professional news, practices, certifications, etc., and apply needed changes as to how he or she performs the job.
•    Must be well acquainted and successfully utilizing current forms of communication, such as e-mail and text.
•    Well organized and possess strong time management skills.


WORKING ENVIRONMENT

There will be occasions you will be required to meet customers at their homes, funeral home locations or other establishments to help support their sales team and sales initiatives.

SCHEDULE

This position typically works Monday thru Friday, but must be flexible to work after hours and weekends to serve customer needs.


TRAVEL

This position will be required to travel to various locations in their region, to include the corporate office.
