Job description

Make a Difference. Build Relationships. Serve Your Community.

Are you looking for more than just another funeral home position? Are you ready to join an independently owned organization where your experience is valued, your ideas are welcomed, and your work truly impacts the community?

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and service-oriented Licensed Funeral Director to join our growing team. This is an opportunity to become part of an organization committed to exceptional family care, community involvement, and professional excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Guide families through funeral, memorial, cremation, and cemetery arrangements with compassion and professionalism.
  • Coordinate all aspects of funeral services from first call through final disposition.
  • Build lasting relationships with the families we serve before, during, and after services.
  • Represent our organization at community events, educational programs, veterans' activities, civic organizations, and outreach initiatives.
  • Develop relationships with churches, healthcare providers, hospice organizations, senior communities, and local businesses.
  • Assist with planning and hosting remembrance events, holiday programs, and educational seminars.
  • Help identify opportunities to grow our outreach and strengthen our reputation as a trusted community partner.
  • Ensure all services are conducted with dignity while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

What We're Looking For

  • Current Louisiana Funeral Director license (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A heart for serving others and a genuine desire to make a difference.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • A team player who enjoys connecting with people inside and outside the funeral home.
  • Experience is preferred, but we welcome talented newer funeral directors with the right mindset and commitment to service.

Why You'll Love Working Here

We're not a large corporate funeral company. We're an independent organization that believes our people make the difference.

Here you'll find:

  • Competitive salary with performance incentives.
  • Health benefits and retirement plan.
  • Paid vacation and holidays.
  • Continuing education and professional development.
  • Modern facilities and supportive staff.
  • Opportunities to grow into leadership roles.
  • A culture built on trust, respect, teamwork, and excellence.
  • The ability to make meaningful decisions and have your voice heard.

Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with the families and communities you serve—not simply manage cases.

If you're passionate about compassionate service, community engagement, and helping families through life's most important moments, we'd love to meet you.

All inquiries and applications will be held in the strictest confidence.
