Job description

Wenig, Ballhorn, and Zimmer Funeral Homes are seeking a compassionate, driven Advance Funeral Planner to serve families across the entire Sheboygan area and surrounding communities. This is a meaningful, relationship-centered role where your work directly helps families find peace of mind by planning and funding their final arrangements in advance. If you're someone who leads with empathy, thrives in one-on-one conversations, and wants work that matters, this role offers both purpose and strong earning potential.
This is a full time uncapped commission-based position, with most advisors targeting $120,000 in earnings per year!
What You'll Do
  • Meet with individuals and families to educate them on advance funeral planning options
  • Guide families through prearrangement and funding decisions with care and professionalism
  • Build relationships within the community through events, seminars, and outreach
  • Generate leads through networking, referrals, and marketing initiatives
  • Maintain consistent follow-up and communication with prospective families
  • Manage your own schedule and territory with autonomy and accountability
  • Accurately complete all required documentation and compliance requirements

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or relationship-based roles
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build trust in sensitive and emotional situations
  • Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable working both independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to obtain a Life Insurance License within 30 days of hire
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
