Job description

JR Tree Service is the best local tree service carrying a complete line of insurance, including workmanโ€™s compensation. We also offer full benefits to our employees, including healthcare, dental, vision, paid holidays, 401(k) plan with company match and paid vacation.
The right person will have climbing experience with increasing crew responsibility.ย  Compensation will depend on experience and will include a performance bonus.
Roles include:
  • Tree pruning and removal without spikes.
  • Leading removal of trees with crane.
  • Showing crews what work needs to be done.
  • Developing key performance goals and holding employees accountable.
  • Ensuring that crews deliver quality service to clients.
  • Training crews to be safe and OSHA compliant (and maintaining documentation).
  • Ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Required skills/experience:ย 
  • Certified arborist.
  • At least five (5) years tree experience with three (3) as lead climber.
  • Climbing skills, including crane work.
  • Operate a bucket truck with manual transmission.
  • Ability to teach others how to do tree work.
  • Proactive (I.e. implements maintenance schedule as opposed to fixing things after they break).
  • Ability to identify local plants and trees.

Highly desirable skills/experience:
  • College degree.
  • OSHA training certification.
  • Commercial Driverโ€™s License (CDL).
  • Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
