Job description

The Landings Association is seeking a Tree Technician to join the Public Works team. This position supports the maintenance and care of trees, natural areas, parks, and common properties throughout the community.

This is a hands-on outdoor role ideal for candidates with experience in tree work, landscaping, forestry, vegetation management, or heavy equipment operation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tree pruning, trimming, removals, stump grinding, and vegetation maintenance
  • Inspect trees and vegetation for hazards, disease, and structural concerns

Operate equipment including:

  • Bucket trucks
  • Chainsaws
  • Chippers
  • Dump trucks
  • Stump grinders
  • ATVs
  • Remove debris and maintain safe work areas
  • Conduct equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
  • Assist with storm cleanup and emergency response operations
  • Follow all safety procedures and equipment protocols

Qualifications

  • Valid driverโ€™s license required
  • Experience with chainsaws, aerial lifts, bucket trucks, or forestry equipment preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting, climbing, and prolonged standing
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Reliable attendance required
