AnySignal

Los Angeles, CA • On-site

$225K - $350K/yr

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement

Job description

Company

AnySignal is a startup whose mission is to usher in the next generation of RF products and services. For the most demanding space and defense missions, AnySignal provides a flexible platform with world-class performance that is easy to deploy, monitor, purchase, and upgrade. Our team has a diverse range of backgrounds spanning cloud computing, artificial intelligence, communications and sensing, embedded systems, and more.

The Role

We're hiring a VP of Product & Technical Strategy to define and drive product direction across our RF, DSP, and satellite communications product lines. Reporting to the CEO, you'll sit at the intersection of customers, engineering, sales, and leadership, translating complex mission requirements into product strategy, roadmap priorities, and clear technical narratives for the market.

This is a high-leverage, foundational role. As our first dedicated product leader, you'll establish the product function from the ground up, shape how a fast-growing hardware company makes its most important decisions, and work directly with a deeply technical founding team. The role is hands-on to start, with the mandate and runway to build a product team as the company scales.

What You'll Do
  • Own the product roadmap across current and next-generation product lines, including variant strategy, prioritization of customer requirements, lifecycle planning, and the evolution from customer-specific solutions toward scalable product platforms.

  • Drive technical product strategy with customers. Engage as the senior product voice in technical customer conversations, reasoning through RF, DSP, and satcom requirements to shape opportunities. Build the frameworks that make opportunity qualification and solutioning repeatable across the organization.

  • Lead product positioning and enablement. Translate deep technical capability into crisp market-facing narratives: product briefs, capability matrices, competitive differentiation, and customer-facing roadmap stories that equip sales and marketing to represent the portfolio with precision.

  • Build the product operating cadence. Establish the lightweight rhythms that keep engineering execution, customer timelines, and business priorities connected as we scale, from roadmap reviews to requirements intake and customer commitment alignment.

  • Partner closely with the CEO and engineering leadership on portfolio strategy, build-vs-customize decisions, and long-term product architecture.

What We're Looking For
  • Deep technical fluency in RF systems, DSP, satellite communications, Software Defined Radio, or adjacent aerospace and defense hardware, with the credibility to engage senior engineers and technical customers as a peer.

  • A track record of translating complex customer requirements into product strategy and roadmap decisions for hardware or deeply technical systems products.

  • Strong commercial judgment: fluency in sales cycles, proposals, customer commitments, and market positioning.

  • The ability to bring product discipline to a fast-moving, engineering-led culture, adding clarity and alignment without adding bureaucracy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, from technical collateral to executive strategy.

  • An entrepreneurial operating style: comfortable with ambiguity, hands-on by default, and energized by building a function from zero.

Nice to Have
  • Experience serving defense, national security, or space customers.

  • Hands-on background with SDR platforms, modems, waveforms, phased arrays, or ground systems.

  • Familiarity with government contracting and proposal processes (SBIR, BAA, OTA).

  • Experience scaling a technical business from custom engineering toward repeatable product lines.

Why AnySignal

You'll define the product function at a company with real revenue, flight-proven hardware, and some of the deepest RF and communications expertise in the industry, at exactly the moment the company is scaling its portfolio. The technical problems are hard, the customers' missions matter, and the product strategy questions are the kind you only get to answer once: how a company built on engineering excellence becomes a category-defining product business.

Compensation

The estimated base salary range for this role is $225,000 – $350,000 per year, plus equity. This range reflects our good-faith estimate for this position at the time of posting. The final base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base salary, total compensation includes an equity grant and our full benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision), HSA's and 401K program.
