Job description

Position Summary
The Contract Specialist is responsible for drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts in support of business operations. This role ensures compliance with legal, financial, and company standards while supporting internal stakeholders and customers in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant Contract Specialist experience OR
  • Associate's Degree and 4 years of relevant Contract Specialist experience OR
  • 6 years of relevant professional Contract Specialist experience

(Minimum of 6 years combined education, Airline, MRO, OEM or other relevant commercial experience, with at least 2 years in a Contract Specialist role)
  • Demonstrated experience in contract drafting and negotiation, as well as knowledge of legal, financial, and standard business practices related to contracts
  • Verbal, written presentation, problem solving, and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively use fact-based reasoning to communicate, update, persuade, and facilitate discussions with all levels of employees, management, and customers to achieve desired goals
  • Demonstrated capability and flexibility to work independently with little direction and/or motivation in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, exercising a high degree of ethical and responsible behavior
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint), database software (such as SUGAR), email, and web-based applications
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced degree and/or formal training in Business, Finance, or Marketing
  • Direct experience in Airline or MRO contracting
Major Responsibility Areas and Duties
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts in accordance with company policies and business requirements
  • Ensure contracts comply with legal, financial, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to support contract execution and performance
  • Maintain contract documentation and records in accordance with company procedures
  • Support contract lifecycle activities including modifications, renewals, and closeout
  • Communicate contract status, risks, and updates to stakeholders

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations
