Job Description

Cortina Solutions is seeking a high-impact Warfare Analyst to support the execution of a complex contract supporting Norfolk Fleet units. You must be ready to own the mission, supporting complex, multi-domain efforts that shape the future of naval warfare technology. The ideal candidate will be expected to execute with Excellence, serve with Integrity, and approach every problem with a drive to Get Things Done.


The Warfare Analyst provides operational and analytical support across multiple Navy and Joint warfare domains, including Mine, Littoral, Expeditionary, Special, Surface, Undersea, and Amphibious Warfare. This role applies qualitative and quantitative analysis to complex strategic, operational, and management challenges in support of Fleet readiness, capability development, and operational effectiveness. The analyst provides required on-site support to Fleet units in Norfolk, participates in test events, and supports TDA, tactics refinement, exercise analysis, and direct interaction with operational users.


Responsibilities include conducting doctrine research, development, and analysis; applying Operations Research/Systems Analysis (ORSA) methods such as statistical analysis, decision theory, mathematical programming, and probabilistic modeling; and supporting studies of concepts, system designs, and emerging technologies. The position supports Fleet operations through analysis of Tactical Decision Aids (TDAs) and Post-Mission Analysis (PMA) functions, and develops analytical inputs for CONOPS, CONEMP/CONOES, Fleet TACMEMOs, NTTPs, Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), mission readiness assessments, risk and cost analyses, requirements development, and technology assessments.


Job Requirements

  • 3-7+ years of relevant civilian or military professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of fleet operations and operational-level analysis.
  • Ability to clearly communicate analytical findings to diverse stakeholders.
  • Active DOD Secret clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, CONUS or OCONUS.


Preferred Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a related technical field.
  • Experience with mine/counter-mine warfare systems and tactics.
  • Experience directly collaborating with Navy squadron personnel and Fleet units during test and exercise events.
