Veteran Advocates typically spend their days assisting veterans and their families with understanding, applying for, and following up on benefits, services, and community resources. They often interview clients to assess needs, collaborate with service agencies, complete and submit documentation, and provide ongoing case management support. Much of their work involves direct communication—either in person, by phone, or virtually—to answer questions and resolve issues related to veterans' well-being. In addition, Veteran Advocates may participate in outreach events or workshops to connect with the veteran community and inform them of available programs.
