What You'll Do 

Quality Assurance & Testing 

  • Execute comprehensive manual testing across AR/VR hardware and software platforms 
  • Evaluate performance, tracking fidelity, stability, and overall user experience 
  • Validate functionality across multiple hardware configurations and environments 
  • Identify, reproduce, and document software and hardware defects 

Technical Troubleshooting & Diagnostics 

  • Investigate SDK and API-related issues 
  • Analyze runtime logs, version mismatches, and integration failures 
  • Isolate root causes and provide actionable findings to engineering teams 
  • Troubleshoot complex software, hardware, and connectivity issues 

PC-to-Headset Connectivity 

  • Diagnose Quest Link, Air Link, Steam Link, and PCVR streaming issues 
  • Resolve USB, driver, networking, and performance-related problems 
  • Validate headset connectivity across multiple system configurations 

Application Deployment 

  • Deploy and validate APKs and Windows applications using ADB and command-line tools 
  • Verify installations and troubleshoot deployment failures 
  • Support build validation across multiple devices and testing environments 

Unity & Unreal Validation 

  • Review builds and projects within Unity and Unreal Engine 
  • Identify rendering issues, console errors, and asset integrity concerns 
  • Validate functionality prior to release 

Defect Reporting & Documentation 

  • Create detailed Jira tickets with logs, screenshots, telemetry, and reproducible steps 
  • Partner with developers and QA leads to accelerate issue resolution 
  • Maintain high-quality testing documentation and reporting standards 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with developers, QA leads, and technical stakeholders 
  • Support release readiness and product quality initiatives 
  • Contribute valuable feedback throughout the development lifecycle 

Requirements

Qualifications 

Required 

  • 2+ years of experience in Software QA, Hardware QA, Technical Support, Systems Testing, Help Desk, Desktop Support, or a related technical field 
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills 
  • Experience working within Windows 10/11 environments 
  • Familiarity with software installation, configuration, and diagnostics 
  • Experience deploying applications across multiple devices and environments 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work onsite in Redmond, WA 

Preferred 

  • Experience supporting AR/VR, gaming, simulation, or immersive technology platforms 
  • Familiarity with Unity and/or Unreal Engine 
  • Experience with ADB or command-line deployment tools 
  • Python or PowerShell scripting experience 
  • Experience with graphics profiling or performance analysis tools 
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and low-latency streaming technologies 
  • Experience supporting technically complex hardware and software ecosystems
