Job description

Overview

A distribution center in Clifton, NJ seeks an experienced Warehouse Operations Associate to support end-to-end warehouse functions, including picking, quality assurance, receiving, inventory control, and shipping. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with both independent and team-based tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- Picking and Order Preparation

o Accurately pick, verify, and stage items using pick lists, RF scanners, or WMS.

o Ensure correct products, quantities, and packaging are prepared efficiently.

- Quality Assurance

o Conduct QA checks on orders, verifying item accuracy, counts, labels, tickets, packaging, and boxing per company and customer standards.

- Receiving

o Receive and inspect incoming shipments; verify products and quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.

o Identify and report discrepancies or damaged merchandise; organize and store inventory to standards.

- Inventory Control

o Perform cycle counts and reconcile variances; investigate and resolve discrepancies.

o Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock organization and tracking.

- Shipping

o Process outbound orders, verify order details, create shipping labels, and coordinate carrier pickups.

o Package and dispatch shipments on time; use shipping software and carrier platforms (UPS, FedEx, USPS).

Qualifications

- Previous experience in warehouse operations across one or more areas (picking, QA, receiving, inventory, shipping) preferred.

- Ability to use pick lists, RF scanners, WMS, and shipping software; basic computer skills required.

- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and problem-solving skills.

- Able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Reliable attendance and punctuality; able to work independently and as part of a team.

- Physical requirements: lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift; ability to use a pallet jack.

- Communication: basic English required.

- Preferred: experience with Microsoft Excel and carrier platforms (UPS, FedEx, USPS).
