Examples of Duties
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time, CWA position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Note: Those non-faculty employees in the "NE" category of employment may have irregular or variable work hours. The compensatory time policy for NL employees applies to "NE" employees up to 40 hours per week. Beyond 40 hours, the overtime policy for fixed workweek employees applies (i.e., rate of time and one-half in payment or compensatory time).
Compensation:
CWA - P21 - Steps 1 - 3 (Professional Services Specialist 3)
$66,592.01 - $72,744.39
Internal Applicants' salary will be based on union-negotiated calculations.
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, supervises receipt and delivery of all merchandise delivered through Central Receiving and all USPS mail processed through Mail Services in accordance with College policy and carrier shipping requirements. This includes packages and mail for students. Oversees the campus-wide convenience copier program. Oversees the fixed asset tracking program. Provides supervisory direction for all Central Receiving and Mail Services staff.
DUTIES
Supervises receipt and delivery to units of all merchandise delivered to Central Receiving including student packages. Oversees the inspection of all shipments for non concealed damages and notifies carriers accordingly. Segregates merchandise into normal or overnight delivery categories. Delivers daily all UPS, DHL and Fedex packages to appropriate units. Maintains documentation of receipt of goods by units. Oversees the coordination and delivery of furniture with housekeeping and computer equipment with ITS. Maintains computer and publication storage and inventory records, overseeing the delivery as needed. Trains and supervises student assistants including Residence Life student aides on the procedures for proper processing and safe handling of all merchandise delivered through Central Receiving. Processes unit requests for returning shipments to vendors within 5 working days. Ensures compliance with safe handling of hazardous materials as mandated by NJ State and Federal laws.
Oversees the recording of monthly machine meter readings, processing of unit charge backs, investigating and addressing unit billing discrepancies.
Supervises receipt and delivery to units of all USPS mail and interoffice mail processed through the College's mail processing operation, including student mail.
Provides direct supervision for the Central Receiving Storekeeper and the Mail Services Principle Mail Clerk and indirect supervision for one Mail Services Senior Mail Clerk.
Enters Banner requisitions and authorizes invoices covering payments for shipping expenses and copier rental charges.

EXPERIENCE
Three years of experience in stockroom work including obtaining, recording, maintaining records, safeguarding and delivering of various types of equipment, materials and supplies and supervising staff.
LICENSE
Must possess a valid driver's license in the State of New Jersey and the ability to perform the essential duties of the position.
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Knowledge of stockroom and stock record keeping methods and procedures.
Knowledge of transportation, shipping and packing methods.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions and to learn quickly from oral and written explanations.
Ability to maintain storeroom areas in a clear, orderly, safe and sanitary condition.
Ability to supervise the taking of periodic physical inventories.
Ability to learn and utilize computer based inventory and fixed asset system.
