Aging Order Specialist

The Aging Order Specialist identifies aging inventory not in its proper bin location which causes potential delays in shipping her order. Inventory could be in numerous areas throughout the fulfillment center and the exception handler will need to work with all areas of the operation to include Inbound, Outbound, and Inventory Control to find the lost inventory and make sure it gets back into its proper storage locations. This opportunity will report to the Manager Fulfillment Center Operations. Work Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Where You'll Work

This role is onsite and will require you to work from our Suffolk, VA location daily. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

What You'll Do
  • Run a report from the Warehouse Management System to identify inventory that is aged in different pack statuses. Use Order Information Utility, Customer Service Screens, Pro-Ship and UPS / USPS tracking to analyze further needs.
  • Checks work queues throughout the facility making sure that work is being processed through First In, First Out (FIFO) order.
  • Utilize the Warehouse Management System to understand why shipments are not moving through the outbound processes. Partners with outbound / Inventory Control to make sure shipments are properly processed.
  • May support general problem solving or exception handling responsibilities to include outbound order fulfillment, stow problem exception resolution, pick short resolution, or other problem solving duties.
  • May be asked to perform essential job functions of the warehouse including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, stowing, and other team member functions.
What You'll Bring
  • Must have good overall general computer knowledge including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be good at working autonomously with little oversight or direction.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have excellent problem solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift items weighing approximately up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Ability to differentiate between colors.
  • Previous experience in a research role.
  • Previous experience in a problem solving function that can find opportunities in an otherwise well designed system.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment (fax machine, photocopier, computer printer) stationed between 3 & 4 feet high.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply complex information.
  • Must be able to work assigned shift hours and additional hours when necessary to meet business needs.

Hourly: $19.20 - $19.20
