Overview

VTG is seeking a User Support Specialist to support National Security customers.


What will you do?
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug complex software applications.
  • Passionate about programming, passionate about quality and enjoy communicating and working with end-users.
  • Work in a team environment.
  • Provide technical support for multiple applications (legacy and newly developed GOTS as well as COTS),
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of functionality, configuration, and limitations of multiple applications.
  • Collaborate with application developers to identify and report defects, bugs, and other issues that impact application reliability and maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Minimum of three years of experience providing basic user and application administration support, including user account management and application configuration.
  • Associates and five or No degree and seven years related work experience.
  • Five years of experience drafting and maintaining technical systems documentation, especially in a custom software development context.
  • Five years of experience with workflow design and management.
  • Five years of experience performing user account administration and user access control.
  • Five years of experience with scripting languages; PowerShell or Bash scripting experience most valued.
  • Three years of experience triaging system errors for a database-driven information system.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience with SQL queries, Oracle DB experience and legacy applications / complex systems.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management and Best Practices.
