Job Summary:
Defense Acquisition Support Services LLC is seeking highly motivated Computer Scientists to join a high-visibility, mission-critical project at Aberdeen Proving Ground. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying software solutions while collaborating with various teams and ensuring compliance with DoD standards.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and deploy front-end and back-end solutions in a secure, scalable DoD environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to support iterative delivery of software capabilities
• Integrate interactive data visualizations and AI/ML-powered APIs to enhance mission effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with DoD development standards, branding, and cybersecurity best practices
• Manage application state, session storage, and RBAC for secure user experiences
• Build and maintain data pipelines and backend services using modern frameworks
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and DevSecOps workflows
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active DoD security clearance
• 8 plus years experience
• Bachelors in computer science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• Prior military service or experience supporting military programs
• Previous work on DoD software development projects
• Familiarity with secure deployment pipelines and DevSecOps principles
• React / React Native
• HTML, JavaScript / TypeScript
• Charting frameworks (eCharts, D3, PowerBI)
• RBAC, session storage, and state management
• Familiarity with DoD branding and UX guidelines
• Python, FastAPI
• SQL / SQLite
• Modular architecture and event/queue systems
• Data pipelines and services integration
• AI/ML API integration
Preferred:
• Experience with Vantage/Foundry platforms
