The Lutheran Home and Harwood Place is seeking to add a Medical Records – Unit Clerk to our team. This position is responsible for providing a wide range of secretarial, administrative and medical records support to the nursing unit such as:

· Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, patients, families, and other departments in relation to patient care

· Coordinate patient appointments, transportation, transfers, and discharges

· Receive, analyze, process, and maintain both paper and electronic charts

· Perform secretarial and administrative duties on nursing units.


Requirements for the position:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 2 years of Unit Clerk, scheduling, or similar experience

· Prior experience in a nursing home preferred

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to interruptions and changing priorities/workloads.
