Job description

FPC of Wake Forest has been engaged to locate a Transportation Operations Mangager for a great client! This company is a leader in its space and is focused on delivering life-saving products on a global scale.


So, what will you be doing as Transportation Operations Manager?

-Own relationships with logistics providers (parcel, freight, LTL, FTL)

-Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners (3PL and carriers)

-Build and publish KPI dashboard (inventory turns, cycle count accuracy, order accuracy, on-time delivery, damage rates, etc.)

-Manage contracts with 3PLs and carriers; Negotiate renewals and new agreements when required

-Ensure inventory records are accurate, timely, and aligned between internal and 3PL systems

-Audit and evaluate 3PL and carrier performance and stability


-What you will need to be successful:

-BS in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or another related field

-8+ years of experience in distribution and warehousing

- Previous experience managing 3PLs and carriers

-Advanced database experience (Excel, Power BI)

-Experience in a regulated industry


-Things considered a plus:

-MBA

-Prior experience in medical devices

-ERP/WMS implementation
