The Air Freight Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the air import & export team to ensure that all shipments are processed accurately and timely in accordance with customer requirements and company policies. This position involves supervising and coordinating the activities of a team of air import and export coordinators, communicating with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders, resolving issues and providing excellent customer service.Â
Duties and ResponsibilitiesÂ
Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of air import & export coordinators to ensure smooth and efficient operationsÂ
Monitor and manage the flow of import & export shipments to ensure compliance with customer requirements and company policiesÂ
Communicate with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipmentsÂ
Resolve issues related to shipments, such as delays, damages, or customs clearance problemsÂ
Ensure that all documentation is accurate and complete, including air waybills, commercial invoices, and other export documentsÂ
Provide excellent customer service and ensure that customer expectations are met or exceededÂ
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including customs regulations, import / export controls, and hazardous materials regulationsÂ
Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and quality of serviceÂ
Educational background / Work experienceÂ
A bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics, international business, or a related field is preferred. However, equivalent experience in the transportation and logistics industry may be considered.Â
