Own transportation execution, cost, and service results - leverage relationships with warehousing partners to improve processes and achieve goalsJob Description
Primary Responsibilities
• Responsible for all LTL, FTL, Intermodal, and Rail shipments in and outbound from multiple factories and warehouses.
• Requires fostering and building relationships with asset-based, brokerage and dedicated carriers.
• Manage transportation operations across the US and work cross functionally with the warehousing team to understand constraints within the network.
• Interact daily with internal and external carrier partner teams to drive performance improvement.
• Cooperate with our transportation tracking vendor to drive improvements in carrier compliance and on-time delivery.
• Identify and execute strategic projects to optimize warehouse/transportation efficiencies and drive productivity.
• Leverage data and strategic decisions and relationships with 3PLs to deliver specific targets related to cost and service
• Support Procurement and Capacity Planning during the annual bid to help drive optimal decisions for the business
• Develop, analyze, and report Transportation Operations, Cost, and Service KPI's.
• Utilize financial, logistical, and procurement databases/systems to assist in freight reporting and ad hoc route analysis to support corrective action improvements and/or re-engineered route solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline processes and reduce waste
• Measure cost savings performance against targets/benchmarks.
• Works cross functionally with deployment, supply, customer service, customer supply chain and procurement teams.
• Responsible for holding carrier scorecard calls with key strategic transportation carriers, which includes tracking KPIs such as compliance to award, on time performance and EDI compliance.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Finance, or similar degree.
• Adept in project management (planning and execution).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• 3-5 years' experience in logistics- preferable in transportation with experience in carrier management/procurement and railroad management.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with multi-task experience.
• Adept with computer software applications.
• Excel, Access, Power Point, Word, Project.
• Prefer familiarity with SAP, and Oracle OTM

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$104,200.00 - $130,200.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
