Your Part in It:

Working out of our Chicago office, we are looking for our next Operations Representative. In this role, you will support the day-to-day transportation operations by managing shipments, coordinating with LTL and TL carriers, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and customers. You'll collaborate closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure smooth execution and exceptional service.

OPERATIONS REPRESENTATIVE

What the Job Entails:

  • Manage daily transportation operations including load building, dispatching, tracking, and scheduling shipments
  • Coordinate and track shipments from pickup to delivery
  • Communicate with carriers, shippers, and consignees to ensure smooth operations
  • Negotiate rates and book freight with carriers
  • Maintain a basic understanding of TL freight
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors
  • Ensure all required shipping documentation is accurately prepared
  • Maintain effective and professional communication both internally and externally in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to support customer needs
  • Adhere to and follow all standard operating procedures

  • 2+ years of experience in customer operations within the logistics or supply chain industry
  • Food & Beverage experience preferred
