Job description

Job Title: Sr In-Plant Logistics Engineer

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Duration: Direct Hire Full Time Role


Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize warehouse layouts, storage systems, and material flow processes to maximize efficiency and space utilization.
  • Develop and implement material handling strategies, including line-side delivery, replenishment, and transportation routes.
  • Conduct material flow analysis and simulations to identify bottlenecks and improve operational performance.
  • Lead warehouse setup, relocation, and transformation projects, including high-bay racking systems and logistics infrastructure.
  • Analyze warehouse operations and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Define and standardize processes for receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping operations.
  • Develop inventory management strategies and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor warehouse effectiveness.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and SAP logistics processes.
  • Perform safety assessments, risk analyses, and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, production, and customer teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, layouts, and project plans for stakeholder review.
  • Manage end-to-end logistics and warehouse improvement projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and communicat
