Job description

Honeywell Thermal Solutions is seeking dynamic and results-driven Director, Commercial Operations & Sales Excellence to lead our global commercial strategy and accelerate growth across our portfolio of Fuel Delivery, BMS and Thermal solutions and services. This role is accountable for delivering revenue growth and margin expansion by building a high-performing, data-driven commercial engine that integrates sales, marketing, channels, and offering management. This position will be a people leader of a (2) direct reports.

The HTS Director Commercial Operations will play a critical role in advancing Thermal Solutions transformation toward solution-led growth, driving customer-centric innovation, and strengthening our market position across combustion, hybrid and electric heating solutions.

This position will work on a hybrid work schedule out of our Northeastern Indianapolis, Charlotte, North Carolina OR Houston, TX Honeywell Technologies office.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience, including sales, marketing, pricing, and offerings management, preferably within a B2B environment (e.g., software, technology, manufacturing, and/or telecommunications)
  • Large, matrixed organization experience
  • Proven people leadership experience, including leading and developing high-performing teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Commercial Management Operating System (MOS): Own and continuously evolve the Thermal Solutions Commercial MOS to drive consistent, data-driven execution across sales, NPI, offering management, and marketing by standardizing processes, governing KPI frameworks and dashboards, and ensuring clear visibility into pipeline, demand, and market performance. Provide an independent, fact-based view of markets and competition to inform winning strategies, while aligning data, systems (CRM, CPQ, pricing, analytics), and digital capabilities to support scalable, disciplined commercial execution.

Sales Excellence: Drive transformation to a world-class, solution-oriented sales organization by translating Thermal Solutions technology, software, and services into clear, differentiated customer value propositions and equipping teams with tools, insights, and training to sell value. Lead sales performance management, including forecasting, pipeline management, incentives, and productivity analytics, while defining and executing sales force strategy across segmentation, channels, and strategic accounts. Build scalable capabilities through onboarding and continuous development, and deliver measurable outcomes including pipeline growth, improved conversion, successful NPI launches, and expansion in core and new markets.

Channel Excellence: Drive an effective channel strategy that expands market reach and accelerates growth by aligning partners to Thermal Solutions value propositions and portfolio strategy. Enable channels for strong NPI execution and commercial readiness, optimize performance through segmentation and governance, and embed value-based selling to improve adoption, coverage, and efficiency

Customer Marketing: Own all events and the end-to-end demand engine to accelerate growth and maximize marketing ROI by leading the full customer acquisition lifecycle from lead generation through conversion, strengthening and digitizing core sales, marketing, and partner channels, and developing new growth channels. Drive seamless sales and marketing integration to optimize lead-to-revenue conversion, establish a rigorous ROMI framework for data-driven investment decisions, and scale digital marketing capabilities to enhance demand generation, customer engagement, and analytics-driven targeting.
