Job description

Target Wage: $80,000
SUMMARY
The GSE Training & Development Supervisor is responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining technical training programs for ground support equipment (GSE) maintenance personnel. This role supports technician onboarding, skill development, safety training, and career progression while partnering with operational leadership to align training initiatives with business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver hands-on and classroom-based technical training for new and existing technicians
  • Support onboarding and ongoing development across all technician levels
  • Conduct skills assessments and support individual development planning
  • Maintain training materials, SOPs, and job aids
  • Support technician career progression programs and advancement readiness
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate performance and development needs
  • Track and report training and development metrics
  • Deliver and reinforce required safety training (e.g., LOTO, PPE, hazard awareness)
  • Promote safe work practices and intervene when unsafe behaviors are observed
  • Support incident reviews by identifying and addressing training gaps
  • Monitor quality trends and provide coaching to improve workmanship and documentation
  • Identify recurring issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain training records within the learning management system (LMS)
  • Coordinate vendor or OEM training as needed
  • Partner with Shift Supervisors and leadership to support workforce development
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
  • Must possess a valid driver's license (if required by location)
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in GSE or heavy equipment maintenance
  • Prior training, coaching, or leadership experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and standards
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and CMMS platforms preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any required airport badges or credentials
  • Must be available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours on occasion to support field operations
