Designers at Closets by Design begin their career with 5 days of intensive classroom style training on design and drafting and the formula for successful in-home selling. Immediately following the classroom training, designers are sent on their first appointments.   
Designers will begin on a guaranteed compensation plan for up to six months, providing a stable income while building product knowledge, completing training, and developing a customer pipeline.  Compensation during this period will be paid according to the company's guaranteed pay plan, provided performance expectations and employment requirements are met. 
At the conclusion of the guaranteed pay period, Designers will transition to a  commission-based compensation structure, with earnings based on individual sales performance.  High-performing Designers have the opportunity to earn uncapped commissions, with income directly tied to sales results. 
Designers earn as follows:
Training period three to six months:                       $3,300/mo. training pay
Typical after first 3 months                                      $4,000/mo. commission based
Typical after first year                                               $5,000 to $7,000/mo. commission based
Above average designers                                         $80K to $120K per year
