# of Openings:  1 General Analyst Minimum Qualifications Summary Certification & Education * Civilian Education:  MA/MS Preferred Disciplines: Social Sciences, Public Policy, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, Systems Analysis; OR Military Education:  CGSC Equivalent or Higher (SAMS or equivalent; War College or equivalent; JPME II). * Active TS clearance. Eligible for SCI. Experience Required * 10-15+ years strategic and operational planning and analysis either military or civilian experience working with the military in the assessment and planning domains.  * Optional Specializations (One or More Areas Preferred):  5+ years in SOF; PSYOP; MILDEC; CWMD; CYBER; AT/FP; SNA; Special Programs; Interagency Experience, Intelligence, CCMD. Job Objective The objective of this requirement is to provide The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) fully capable and enabled SOF personnel to defend the Nation’s interests pursuant to the National Defense Strategy in an environment characterized by irregular warfare and asymmetric challenges.  Responsibilities * Create and maintain the adjudication structure for headquarters, JCS, and OSD tasks and processes.   * Analyze strategic plan objectives, Lines of Effort and Intermediate Military Objectives assigned to geographic and functional combatant commands, JSOC, and the interagency.  * Develop USSOCOM inputs into the Chairman’s Risk Assessment, NDS-I tool, Strategic Readiness Assessment, and other requirements from OSD and JCS; and coordinate with the SOF enterprise for inputs and provide products for USSOCOM senior leaders.  * Provide assessment expertise and support including review and analysis of strategic and operational documents.  * Prepare assessment products for 1–2-star Joint Planning Board, 3-star JCS led OPSDEPs and 4-star TANK.  * Review Joint Staff and other combatant commands products for USSOCOM inputs.  * Coordinate and consolidate multiple inputs across the SOF enterprise for the Annual Joint Assessment and provide products for USSOCOM senior leaders.  * Prepare and provide presentations, pre-briefs, and in progress reviews (IPRs) for leaders.   * Attend Boards, Bureaus, Centers, Cells, and Working Groups (B2C2WG) and other meetings and provide written notes or minutes as applicable Education & Certification * Civilian Education:  MA/MS Preferred Disciplines: Social Sciences, Public Policy, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, Systems Analysis; OR Military Education:  CGSC Equivalent or Higher (SAMS or equivalent; War College or equivalent; JPME II). * Active TS clearance.
