Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: Bethlehem, PA 18015 Type: Direct Hire

Overview: We are seeking a Business Development Manager to support a growing life-sciences services organization expanding its U.S. presence (pharma/biotech-focused). This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining senior stakeholder relationships, and partnering closely with internal technical/operations teams to align solutions with client needs

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across pharma and biotech clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Partner with internal technical and operations teams to align services with client needs
  • Support creation of proposals, presentations, and client-facing materials
  • Stay up to date on market trends, competitive activity, and client demand
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
  • Track pipeline activity, client engagement, and overall BD performance
  • Manage select accounts with a focus on long-term relationship growth
  • First U.S.-focused hire supporting expansion, ideally based near the Mid-Atlantic region
  • Approximately 50 percent travel across client sites, trade shows, and industry events
  • Initial onboarding includes time spent with international teams for training and alignment
  • Role focused on relationship development and coordination over high-volume sales
  • Lower deal volume environment with emphasis on quality of engagements over quantity
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field; advanced degree is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within pharma/biotech
  • Proven ability to grow and manage client relationships in a technical services setting
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working within consultative, relationship-driven sales environments
