Job Summary: The Marketing and Operations Intern will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of events, group visits, marketing promotions, and Love is in the Air (LIITA) packages at Reunion Tower. This role supports daily operations and marketing logistics to ensure smooth guest experiences, under the guidance of the Operations and Marketing department.

Responsibilities:

Operations Support:

  • Assist in daily operations, ensuring all areas are guest-ready.
  • Assist with Group Visits
  • Monitor and maintain operational standards.
  • Support the coordination of scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Help with inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues.

Event Coordination:

  • Support the planning and execution of events and Love is in the Air (LIITA) packages including setup and teardown.
  • Coordinate with vendors and event partners.
  • Provide on-site event support to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Flexible schedule to accommodate events, promotions, and other business needs, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Detail-oriented with a professional, calm demeanor, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to work independently and act as a floor warden in emergencies.
  • Proficiency in basic math, typing, and computer skills.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, and listening skills.
  • Ability to multitask and take initiative.

Experience:

  • Proven cash-handling experience required; credit card transaction experience a plus.
  • Minimum one year of sales or customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience in the attraction or hospitality industry preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and guest needs assessment skills.

Specific Skills:

  • Knowledge of guest service principles and practices.
  • Strong listening, speaking, and communication abilities.
  • Problem sensitivity and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to operate technical equipment such as the elevator, ticket, and photo kiosk.
  • Strong initiative, decision-making, and service orientation.
  • Ability to maintain grooming standards and professional appearance.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, and grasp.
  • Ability to engage in repetitive motions and handle light physical tasks.
  • Visual and auditory ability to ensure the accuracy of work tasks.
  • Ability to navigate the main Tower staircase.

Licenses or Certifications:

  • Texas Alcoholic Beverage Certification (TABC) preferred.
  • Tower Master certification, must obtain if provided by the company.
  • CPR Certified preferred, must obtain if provided by the company.
  • Valid driver’s license.
