Imagine starting your day overlooking the inlet to the Atlantic and walking the docks of Yamaha's private marina while leading a premier waterfront facility that plays a critical role in developing the next generation of marine technology.
This is far more than a traditional management role. You'll oversee facility operations, lead a talented technical team, manage a fleet of test assets, and support on-water validation activities that directly influence future Yamaha products. • Plan workloads, allocate resources, and maintain operational readiness to support product development schedules.
  • Manage site assets including boats, trucks, equipment, tools, and facility infrastructure.

Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team

  • Coordinate contractors, maintenance activities, and facility improvements.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance programs, operational procedures, and emergency response plans.

Drive Operational Excellence
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and corporate requirements.
  • Lead Environmental Health & Safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets, forecasting, annual planning, and internal reporting.
  • Protect facility security, confidentiality, and Yamaha intellectual property.

Represent Yamaha
  • Serve as the face of the facility within Yamaha and the local marine community.
  • Participate in on-water testing activities and real-world product evaluations.
  • Promote Yamaha's reputation for innovation, quality, and performance

Why This Role Stands Out

• Regular opportunities to get on the water and support testing activities
• Leadership role with significant operational autonomy
• Direct influence on future Yamaha marine products
• Combination of facility management, engineering support, boating, and team leadership
• Opportunity to work with industry-leading marine technology every day
Who Thrives in This Role
We're looking for a leader who is equally comfortable managing a high-performing team, operating a complex waterfront facility, and collaborating with engineers developing the next generation of marine technology. The ideal candidate combines strong business and leadership skills with a passion for boating, innovation, and continuous improvement.
What you need to be successful:
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire, develop, and build high-performing teams.
  • A strong background in facility, operations, or test-site management with responsibility for people, budgets, assets, and day-to-day operations.
  • An understanding of the product development process and what it takes to bring innovative products from concept to reality.
  • Experience within the marine industry is highly valued, along with a genuine passion for boating and life on the water.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety practices that support world-class operations.
  • Strong business and organizational skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • The ability to build relationships across diverse teams, cultures, and business functions, both domestically and internationally.
  • A confident and adaptable leadership style that thrives in fast-moving environments where priorities can change quickly.
