Join our Product Development team at BioLegend as a Flow Cytometry Intern and gain hands-on experience in developing cutting-edge flow cytometry reagents and assays. This internship offers exposure to the full product development lifecycle-from initial concept through validation and commercialization.

You'll work alongside experienced scientists in our San Diego laboratory, contributing to projects that advance immunology research and diagnostic applications.

What You Will Do

  • Assist in the design, optimization, and validation of flow cytometry panels and reagents
  • Conduct experiments using multi-color flow cytometry platforms while following safety and quality practices
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data using flow cytometry software and communicate findings to the team
  • Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and contribute to protocols, technical reports, and documentation
  • Support quality control testing and documentation for product development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, and Marketing

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or related field
  • At least 3 months of coursework or hands-on research experience using flow cytometry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with flow cytometry analysis software (e.g., FlowJo) a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.

The base salary range for this part-time position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
