Summary:
 
The Product Manager, Bioprocessing CGT is responsible for driving business growth and portfolio success through proactive product lifecycle management, innovation strategy, product development, and global portfolio expansion. This role serves as the key interface between R&D, Sales, Marketing, Strategy, and Operations teams to develop and execute global product strategies for cell and gene therapy (CGT) solutions.
The position focuses on delivering differentiated GMP bioprocessing solutions that support customers from therapy discovery through commercialization while ensuring strong market positioning, operational alignment, regulatory compliance, and customer success.
Responsibilities:
 
Product Line Strategy
  • Manage the complete lifecycle and value chain of the assigned product portfolio
  • Develop and execute portfolio innovation strategies aligned with market needs and business goals
  • Lead new product development initiatives, including business case creation, stage-gate processes, product specifications, beta testing, and product launches
  • Conduct market, customer, competitor, and application intelligence analysis to identify unmet customer needs and growth opportunities
  • Develop and manage product pricing strategies
  • Identify opportunities for enhanced customer value, margin improvement, and new technology or IP offerings
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Strategy teams to implement global pricing, positioning, and channel strategies
  • Ensure product offerings remain competitive and differentiated within the bioprocessing and CGT market
Sales & Operations Planning / Performance Insights
  • Drive product forecasting and inventory management processes
  • Support demand planning and prioritization during supply challenges
  • Monitor portfolio performance against revenue, margin, and volume targets
  • Analyze customer-level product performance to identify market trends and growth opportunities
  • Prepare performance reports and portfolio insights for business leadership
  • Maintain strong communication with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance regarding portfolio developments and opportunities
Marketing Planning
  • Support development of global marketing strategies and portfolio marketing plans
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on campaigns to drive product awareness and sales growth
  • Provide technical input for marketing materials, product positioning, and PR content
Product Sales & Support
  • Provide technical expertise and product awareness training to internal teams
  • Respond to complex technical, business, and regulatory customer inquiries
  • Support sales and service teams through customer interactions, site visits, and sales meetings
  • Train sales and service representatives on technical and regulatory aspects of the product portfolio
Safety & Compliance
  • Manage compliance with FDA, ISO 9001:2015, safety, and other regulatory requirements
  • Participate in Deviation Review Board meetings
  • Support Change Control, CAPA, and quality-driven initiatives
  • Coordinate customer communication and product positioning related to quality and regulatory matters
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in product management, bioprocessing, biotechnology, cell & gene therapy, or life sciences industry preferred
  • Experience managing product lifecycle activities and new product development initiatives
  • Strong understanding of bioprocessing, GMP environments, and cell & gene therapy workflows
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management and portfolio strategy
  • Experience with product forecasting, pricing strategy, and inventory planning
  • Understanding of FDA, ISO 9001:2015, CAPA, Change Control, and regulatory compliance processes
  • Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to influence teams and drive strategic initiatives across global organizations
  • Strong presentation and customer-facing communication skills
  • Ability to support sales enablement and technical training initiatives
