Job description

WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING FOR A TEMPORARY PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT COSTING SPECIALIST FOR OUR DOWNEY LOCATION
OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
The Product Development Costing Specialist will communicate with vendors and cross functional team members to assist with product development costing functions to maintain the most accurate data at all stages of development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review tech packs/BOMs to provide vendors with information needed for costing
  • Request cost sheets and updates from vendors at all stages of development
  • Review and analyze cost sheets
  • Organize cost comparisons between vendors and categories
  • Communicate with sourcing vendors & mills for development and cost related issues
  • Maintain and build cost libraries by season, division, category, and vendor
  • Prepare costing reports at development, adoption, and final costing stages
  • Maintain cost sheets in Full Circle
  • Communicate cost updates to cross functional teams
  • Collaborate with tech team to prioritize workflow of the internal sample room

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 4+ years in product development with an expertise in costing
• Full Circle knowledge not required but a plus
• Strong knowledge of costing, garment construction, pre-production, and production coordination
• Highly proficient in excel to maintain cost sheets and create cost reports
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
• Highly organized
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent judgment and organizational ability
• Must be detail oriented and have a sense of urgency and follow through
• Must be flexible and can prioritize workload and achieve deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with internal and external teams
• Solid interpersonal skills - able to and enjoy working with cross- functional team members
PAY TRANSPARENCY
This position pays $30.00 per hour.
