Job Description

Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by department need. This position may close early if the hiring need is filled or due to volume of applications received.

  • Teach transferable, entry-level lectures and/or laboratories in Majors or Non-majors Biology

  • Develop syllabi and course materials as directed by the Lead Faculty Member and/or Lab Coordinator

  • Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes

Required Qualifications for teaching Lectures

  • Masters degree in Biological Sciences or a closely-related field from an accredited College or University

  • Experience teaching General Biology Lectures

  • Ability to use educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems and PowerPoint

  • Ability and willingness to use email for official communications

Required Qualifications for teaching Labs

  • Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences or a closely-related field from an accredited College or University

  • Experience teaching General Biology labs or experience in a laboratory situation

  • Ability to use educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems and PowerPoint

  • Ability and willingness to use email for official communications

Salary

$925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester. $46.25 per hour for labs.
