Job description

Ark is looking for an energetic and customer-focused Operations Assistant to join our growing team. The Operations Assistant plays a vital role in the customer's experience at Ark as they are often the first point of contract with our customers. In addition, the Operations Assistant, while under general supervision, will provide administrative support along with clerical tasks for the Data Center Operations group, clients, staff and/or contractors.
This is a full-time position, located on site at the Duluth Data Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
โ€ข Manages a ticket queue and escalate issues to appropriate team members
โ€ข Manages ordering and stocking of office and break room supplies
โ€ข Performs immediate cleaning duties necessary to maintain a clean and safe facility
โ€ข Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Director of Data Center Operations
โ€ข Responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments. This includes the preparation of outgoing packages, return shipments and receipt of deliveries.
โ€ข Manages bi-annual physical access audits for colocation customers
โ€ข Manages conference room reservations requested by internal team members or by customers
โ€ข Creates purchase orders and places material orders with vendors
โ€ข Assists with coordinating planned PM events with DC Manager
โ€ข Handles new customer security registration for physical access to facility
โ€ข Handles temporary badging for visitors/vendors/contractors
โ€ข Supports escort of visitors/vendors per ticket request, as needed
โ€ข Assists with documenting circuit handoffs utilizing DC Operations cross connect record workbook
โ€ข Assists with document management and quality assurance for all DC Operations information
โ€ข Checks PO Box at least weekly and sorts/delivers mail to everyone in the office
โ€ข Stays current with Data Center training on processes and procedures as they are created or revised and as directed by the Director of Data Center Operations
โ€ข Ability to support Data Center Audits and Certifications
โ€ข Additional duties, as assigned
Requirements
โ€ข 2+ years of customer service experience
โ€ข Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
โ€ข Effectively communicate, orally and in writing
โ€ข Understand and follow oral and written instructions
โ€ข Ability to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks
โ€ข Ability to work effectively under pressure, and against strict time constraints
โ€ข Ability to work individually or as a team member in a cooperative work environment
Working Conditions:
โ€ข Office based with access to areas of the data center
โ€ข Regularly lifting up to 20 pounds
Compensation: The compensation for this position is $33,990-45,000 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including experience and skillsets.
