Job description

We are seeking a Temporary Desktop Technician to support our client, a large University in Queens, NY.  As a technician, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining various hardware and software systems within an organization. You will work closely with IT teams, project managers, and the client to ensure smooth implementation and operation of systems.  2 month position that could be extended

Salary Range:  $20 - $25/hr

                                                                                                                                                           

What You'll Do:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop devices. 
  • Imaging and deployment of desktops and laptops.
  • Assist clients in setting up their equipment and ensuring it works properly.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues on-site.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Conduct testing of systems to ensure proper functionality and troubleshoot any issues that arise during deployment.
  • Collaborate with project managers and IT teams, to coordinate deployment activities and resolve technical issues.
  • Assist in system upgrades and maintenance activities, including patch management and software updates.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

                                                                                                                                                           

What You'll Bring:

  •          Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role.  1-2 years experience
  •      Proficiency with Desktop and Laptop Devices.
  •      Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  •      Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  •      Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  •      Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  •      Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  •      Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
