Labcorp is seeking a Computer System and Desktop Support Specialist to join its team! This position will work onsite in Wichita and will also support nearby sites in the surrounding area.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support laboratory, Patient Service Center (PSC) and In-Office Phlebotomist (IOP) sites within the Wichita KS area

  • Support, Install, and configure hardware/software for desktop support

  • Troubleshoot problems and provide technical support for software and hardware

  • Respond to all customer inquiries in a timely manner

  • Place orders for IT-related hardware and complete asset management once received

  • Meet with vendors for installation questions and directions onsite (Examples: Data cabling, Instrument Vendors, Ricoh Vendors)

  • Assist as smart hands for IT hardware installations and validations all is working as expected

  • Manage tickets for Issues and projects in ServiceNow

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years experience configuring PC's and desktop support OR Associate's Degree with 2 years work experience

  • 2 years or more experience with hardware and software support

  • 1 year or more experience supporting Windows 11 desktop support

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6 months or more experience configuring PC's in a lab environment

  • 6 months or more experience with Cerner and Soft

  • Current or previous Labcorp experience

Additional Job Standards:
  • Ability to lift IT hardware up to 50lbs

  • Ability to travel to various sites as needed (approximately 20%)

  • Advanced knowledge of system integration concepts, tools, and methodologies

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex, cross-system issues

  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight on advanced technical work

  • Experience influencing technical direction and guiding decision-making without direct authority

  • Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

  • Commitment to mentoring, collaboration, and continuous learning
