Desktop Support TechnicianJob Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical support in a secure and regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting and supporting end-user devices, maintaining IT equipment, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role supports approximately 275 end-user devices and may involve assisting with infrastructure-related technologies as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite desktop and technical support for end users.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software in a Windows-based environment.
  • Deploy, upgrade, and maintain desktop and laptop systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve operating system, application, and peripheral issues.
  • Support printers, mobile devices, and other end-user equipment.
  • Manage and resolve support requests through a ticketing system.
  • Perform software installations, updates, and system imaging activities.
  • Assist with basic server, network, and physical security technology support when required.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and asset information accurately.
  • Deliver professional and responsive customer service to users at all levels.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
Required Qualifications
  • 1-2+ years of experience in Desktop Support, Help Desk, Technical Support, or a similar IT support role.
  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems and end-user computing devices.
  • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with device deployment, installation, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with productivity and collaboration applications.
  • Experience using ticketing systems for incident and request management.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in physically demanding positions when necessary.
  • Willingness to complete mandatory onboarding and environment-specific training.
