Position Summary
The Temporary Legal Secretary provides administrative support to the Legal and Compliance Department of a senior living organization. This role assists with document preparation, records management, scheduling, contract administration, and general legal support activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, maintains strict confidentiality, and can effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare and senior living environment.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in senior living, healthcare administration, compliance, risk management, executive administration, or legal support are strongly preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, edit, proofread, and distribute legal, compliance, and executive correspondence and documentation.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper files for corporate records, policies, licenses, insurance documents, regulatory correspondence, and legal matters.
- Coordinate document requests and communications with external attorneys and law firms.
- Assist with gathering and organizing documents for litigation, audits, regulatory reviews, investigations, and other legal matters.
- Schedule meetings and conference calls involving external counsel, regulatory agencies, organizational leadership, and community operations teams.
- Maintain confidential records and sensitive information in accordance with organizational policies.
- Support policy management and document control processes.
- Monitor and process legal invoices and maintain related records.
- Assist with licensure, certification, and corporate filing documentation as needed.
- Respond to routine inquiries and direct matters appropriately while maintaining confidentiality.
- Perform general administrative duties and special projects as assigned by the Corporate Vice President of Operations.
