Job Description:


Our law firm client is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of substantive construction defect litigation experience to join its litigation team. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney who can independently manage cases while collaborating effectively within a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, drafting, and case management skills, along with the ability to handle complex construction-related disputes from inception through resolution.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage construction defect litigation matters from pre-suit through trial preparation
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
  • Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and court appearances
  • Communicate directly with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and carriers
  • Analyze construction documents, contracts, and defect-related claims
  • Coordinate discovery, document review, and case strategy with litigation team members
  • Maintain accurate billing and case management records
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to meet deadlines and client objectives



Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of substantive construction defect litigation experience required
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Experience using ProLaw or familiarity with ProLaw is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced litigation environment
