A well-established insurance defense firm in the heart of Brickell is looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Insurance Defense Paralegal to join its growing team. If you thrive in a fast-paced litigation environment, love being the backbone of a trial team, and want to work somewhere that actually invests in its people (and yes — has the best espresso machine in the city), keep reading.
What You'll Do
- Support attorneys through every phase of insurance defense litigation, from intake through trial
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and trial documents
- Manage case files, deadlines, and court calendars with precision
- Summarize medical records, depositions, and key case documents
- Coordinate with clients, experts, court reporters, and opposing counsel
- E-file in state and federal courts across Florida
- Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and witness materials
- Keep cases moving — anticipate what attorneys need before they ask
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of paralegal experience in insurance defense or civil litigation
- Strong knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and e-filing systems
- Experience with case management software (Clio, Filevine, ProLaw, or similar)
- Excellent writing, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to juggle multiple cases and deadlines without losing the thread
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus
- Paralegal certificate or relevant degree preferred
