The Company

Friedman Vartolo LLP is a rapidly growing New York based real estate and default services law firm with 250+ employees across six states. The Position

Friedman Vartolo LLP is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Litigator with appellate writing experience who is capable of handling complex litigated matters to join our growing team. We are looking for bright, enthusiastic individuals, who will bring a strong work ethic and eagerness to grow alongside the firm.


Responsibilities

  • Appearing on a wide range of court appearances
  • Drafting of motions, briefs, and memorandums of law
  • Conducting legal research
  • Responding to discovery requests and pleadings
  • Maintaining responsibility for all aspects of respective contested cases, including devising legal strategies and executing on legal strategies
  • Completing initial review of documents related to highly litigated cases
  • Oversee support staff and review their work


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in motion practice of contested matters
  • Admission to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania; New Jersey and/or New York is a plus
  • Litigation and Appellate advocacy experience required.
  • Experience handling foreclosure, bankruptcy, and eviction appearances in Pennsylvania
  • Superior appellate writing, legal research, and analytic skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve legal issues quickly and proficiently
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Able to manage a heavy work load


Compensation/Benefits

Compensation is competitive and will be commensurate with experience. We also offer a full benefits package, including medical/dental/vision, 401k with match, and transportation reimbursement. We have monthly Happy Hours and host quarterly team building events.
