Overview

Join one of our cabling teams as an Assistant Telecommunications Technician. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical expertise in telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optic systems, network cabling, and equipment troubleshooting. You'll work alongside experienced professionals to install, test, and repair a variety of communication systems in the Culpeper area.
Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation and termination of structured cabling, including Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic systems, ensuring compliance with schematics and industry standards
  • Conduct testing of telecommunications systems using diagnostic tools
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on telecommunication hardware and equipment to minimize downtime
  • Aid in the installation of low-voltage electrical wiring for communication systems while adhering to safety protocols
  • Support field service activities by assisting with fiber splicing, cable termination, and network wiring tasks in various environments
