Job description

We are looking for an energetic, organized, and growth-minded individual to join our team and help us expand our reach across the North Shore.

The Role We are seeking a Front of House & Sales Manager to help grow our reach. This is a hybrid role that combines retail management with proactive B2B sales. You will ensure our storefront is welcoming and organized while actively hunting for new opportunities to get our greens into the hands of local chefs, caterers, and wholesalers.

Key Responsibilities 1. Front of House & Operations Management * Manage daily retail operations at our Highland Park storefront. * Provide exceptional customer service, educating visitors on the benefits of hydroponic farming and our various microgreen varieties. * Process and organize incoming orders (online, walk-in, and wholesale). * Ensure the retail space remains clean, professional, and reflects the "fresh" brand of Local Leaf.

2. Sales & Business Development * Proactively reach out to and build relationships with local chefs, restaurant owners, caterers, and grocery wholesalers. * Conduct tastings and "drop-offs" to potential bulk clients to showcase the quality of our sprouts, flowers, and greens. * Negotiate and close bulk sales contracts to increase farm output. * Represent Local Leaf Farm at community events, farmers' markets, and networking functions. Qualifications * Sales Savvy: You aren't afraid to pick up the phone or walk into a kitchen to introduce yourself to a chef. Culinary background preferred. * Passion for Health/Sustainability: A genuine interest in local food, nutrition, or hydroponics is highly preferred. * Organizational Skills: Ability to manage orders, schedules, and customer follow-ups without things falling through the cracks. * Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for professional outreach and customer education. * Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the North Shore/Highland Park culinary scene is a huge plus. Compensation & Benefits * Base Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience. * Commission: Uncapped commission structure for all bulk/wholesale sales brought in. * Growth Potential: As a new farm, there is significant room for this role to evolve into a leadership position as we scale. * The Perks: Fresh greens to take home and the pride of working for a business that truly gives back to the community’s health. Local Leaf Farm is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
