Our ALOHA and Voltaix products are critical to the manufacturer of the newest computer chips required for Big Data and the Internet of Things.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?The position:
The overall end goal of the position is to develop and leverage Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) engagements globally as means of introducing new molecules, whether AL pushed or OEM-pulled. Towards this goal, the Director, OEM Program Director is responsible for managing a multi-level relationship with the key OEMs, from program leads (TRMs, project updates, etc) to executives (engagement strategy, IP policy, contractual commitments, etc.), and directing/selecting/prioritizing the numerous engagements and evaluations. Reversely, the position has a technology intelligence role in capturing OEM information, demands, IDM penetration timelines, roadmaps and bringing them to the relevant stakeholders in R&D, technical marketing and strategic activities (Techno Integration team, Corp RnD, CTD, CTO, Strategic Sourcing).Air Liquide is Hiring for a Director, OEM Technology Program!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversees and coordinates global technology engagement with all significant Wafer Processing Equipment makers (OEM) in the field of CVD and ALD.

  • Directly manages the team in charge of US OEMs and indirectly (through identified people in affiliates) for the Global OEMs (Asia, Europe).

  • Manage the organization and the follow up of periodic technical review meetings with key customers and OEMs, in coordination with Corp R&D, Product Management, Technology Integration (TI) as deemed appropriate

  • Working with the CTO, manage and controls the information flow (to and from) technology partners for global compliance with NDAs and JDPs commitments.

  • Ensure that TRM feedbacks, technology intelligence and technology demands are funneled to the appropriate stakeholders (Corp R&D, CTD, Product Management), while applying a preliminary screening on the demands based on ALAM's strategic priorities and core competencies.

  • Contributes to the establishment of AL (ALAM + Corp R&D) technology roadmap for semiconductors and R&D program definitions and "on the fly" reprioritization

  • Assist the TI team in the deployment and commercialization strategy products in ramp-up (supply chain, manufacturing technology, target specifications, etc) during the first new product deployment at end user.

  • Co-leads (with Strategic Sourcing for commercially binding contracts) the negotiation of agreements related with new product introduction: NDA, licenses, JPDs, Qualification Agreements, etc. for US companies, and assists / manages consistency of such engagements outside the US.

  • Interact with Corporate R&D to track projects associated with customers' engagements, and contribution to the overall project portfolio.

  • May represent ALAM and/or Air Liquide in events and conferences (public presentations, publications, etc.)

  • Builds a solid network with key technical decision makers at OEMs based on trust, technology differentiation and execution excellence. Develops internal strategic networking matrix and relationships throughout all levels of the organization, including the executive level.

  • Tracks through KPI and through qualitative assessment the performance of AL (incl vs competitors), reports to ALAM (and Corp RnD) management, and proposes improvement plans.

  • Participates to bilateral and trilateral task-forces related to excursions that triggering process drift at OEM or at customer with OEM engagement

  • Gathers and shares within AL key stakeholders competitive intelligence on equipment designs, performance, market share, key success and failure factors, and influence AL's technical marketing decisions and prioritization.

  • Develop a multi-year strategy per OEM based on AL's innovation portfolio and roadmap vs. known OEM roadmap.

Required Qualifications:

  • MS or higher in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or equivalent, with at least 5 years experience in Semiconductor technology & technology marketing. PhD preferred.

  • Understanding of semiconductor industry (customers, technology) and processes (ALD/CVD, precursors applications)

  • Must possess the ability to manage complex technical issues in a dynamic environment, convoluted with IP and commercial considerations.

  • Able to determine what is best for AL in the long term vs. short term wins and make difficult tradeoffs decisions

  • Deep understanding of Intellectual Property management in the Semi Conductor ecosystem.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks & participate in multiple projects simultaneously, with a very high degree of time-keeping discipline.

  • Ability to appreciate and forecast the long term impact of apparently small decisions

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills - able to manage difficult negotiations and discussions with high stakes

  • Multi-level and multi-cultural interaction skills internally and externally - from business executive to operator level

  • Ability to travel globally for OEMs engagements, major industry conferences and industry gatherings (imec), up to 30%.
