Program Director, Medical Radiography - Aurora, CO
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite | Monday - Friday (Saturdays as needed)
Compensation: Starting at $100,000 annually
Excelon Associates is seeking a Program Director, Medical Radiography for an onsite academic leadership opportunity based in Aurora, Colorado. This individual will be responsible for the overall administration, academic leadership, curriculum oversight, accreditation compliance, faculty supervision, and operational success of the Medical Radiography program.
Reporting to senior academic leadership, the Program Director will play a critical role in maintaining program quality, supporting student success, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous program improvement in alignment with industry and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, coordinate, and supervise all aspects of the Medical Radiography program, including faculty, students, and clinical education activities
  • Oversee curriculum development and ensure alignment with current industry standards and accreditation requirements
  • Manage program accreditation processes, including compliance with JRCERT, ABHES, and other regulatory agencies
  • Coordinate and evaluate clinical education and externship partnerships to ensure high-quality learning experiences
  • Develop and maintain academic schedules, policies, procedures, and program documentation
  • Conduct ongoing program assessments and student learning outcomes evaluations
  • Review and update textbooks, instructional materials, and curriculum content to maintain relevance and effectiveness
  • Supervise faculty orientation, evaluations, development, and in-service training activities
  • Conduct regular faculty meetings and maintain appropriate records and documentation
  • Monitor student academic progress, attendance, and performance while addressing disciplinary or academic concerns as needed
  • Coordinate tutorial and remediation support for students requiring additional academic assistance
  • Maintain accurate reporting and communication with institutional leadership regarding program performance and operational needs
  • Facilitate innovative teaching methodologies and instructional delivery systems
  • Maintain current knowledge of developments within radiologic sciences and higher education
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Education & Credentials
  • Master's degree from an institution accredited and recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or CHEA
  • Completion of a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program
  • Current ARRT certification (R) or equivalent registration in medical radiography
Required Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience as a radiologic technologist
  • Minimum of three (3) years of instructional experience in radiologic sciences
  • Experience in curriculum development, academic administration, instruction, student advising, and program evaluation
  • Experience assessing student learning outcomes and maintaining accreditation standards
  • Prior experience within a college or higher education environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with distance learning and alternative instructional delivery systems
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • Advanced imaging modality experience including CT, MRI, or Mammography
