Job description

Summary:

The Project Manager, Technical Customer Support will assist the Director, Technical Customer Support in contract negotiation, legal language (technical), drafting, and LOI reviews. The PM, Technical Customer Support will also provide technical support to customers prior to delivery and during the lease. The PM, Technical Customer Support will also provide strategic direction to the sales and senior leadership teams while developing technical training modules for the sales team. This role will report directly to the Director, Technical Customer Support.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the drafting of the technical content of letters of intent, general terms agreements, lease agreements, maintenance service agreements and any other legal documents that require technical input.
  • Review of all letters of intent, general terms agreements, lease agreements, maintenance service agreements and any other legal documents that require technical input.
  • Provide technical support to the Sales and Trading teams during negotiations as required including on-site visits.
  • Provide near AOG-level technical support to the customers of Willis Lease during negotiation, delivery and during the lease term.
  • Assist the Director, Technical Customer Support in the negotiation of maintenance service agreements and other technical-based external agreements.
  • Assist in the development of training programs to develop the technical knowledge base of the sales and trading teams.
  • Attend and report from appropriate industry events as directed by the Director, Technical Customer Support.
  • Create and implement process improvements to increase productivity across the WLFC Technical Services team.


Qualifications / Requirements:

  • An EASA certified B1/B2 engineer or a similarly qualified University Degree-level engineering applicant. A Diploma in Law is preferred though not essential.
  • An aptitude for the interpretation of legal language and a strong command of English in conjunction with a high degree of technical knowledge across all large fan engine types.
  • The ability to negotiate with customers and servicers whilst maintaining a professional manner and preserving relationships is important.
  • A technical background with some legal qualification is preferred.
