CPMG offers flexible, integrative solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) contractors, among others, and specializes in cybersecurity, information and operational technology, electronic security surveillance, and support services.

Summary:

The PC Technician supports users in a fast-paced operational environment. Performs a variety of services in support of end users and/or missions for the various components and commands residing at the locations assigned and as directed by leadership.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Troubleshooting and proactively resolving technical issues
  • Responding to requests for technical support
  • Providing recommendations for technical support
  • Providing technical problem solving for customer support of database
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop and laptop PCs, mobile devices and peripherals, such as printers
  • Installing and configuring application and operating system software and upgrades
  • Troubleshooting and repairing hardware and network connectivity issues
  • Removing old equipment and performing data migration to new machines
  • Maintaining an inventory of installed software, managing software licensing, and creating policies and procedures for upgrades
  • Working with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensuring that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule
  • Analyzing and making recommendations for hardware and software standardization
  • May perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Have a demonstrated ability to communicate exceptionally well both orally and in writing, as well as have a positive customer service attitude

Minimum Qualifications:

  • DoDD 8570 01-M IAT II certification
  • Must meet one of the following qualifications:
    • Minimum 6 years with HS Diploma
    • Minimum 4 years with Associate’s degree
    • Minimum 2 years with Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 1 year of previous experience working as a PC Tech or Help Desk
  • A DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must be DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 411 - Technical Support Specialist - Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26
